Simple ways to make a little extra cash

When I first started working online, it seemed that making money was impossible. I went through various sites that led me nowhere, except usually to a bunch of dead ends and spam e-mail in my inbox. However, once I finally made it through all that, I started to discover actual legit ways to make some extra cash online.

Although some didn't make me much, it felt good that I was learning how to produce my own income, on my own time. Also, when you do a bunch of small things, they all add up at the end of the week. It takes persistency, to check on and keep up with your gigs. Although some seem to be glamourous, such as mystery shopping, they do actually take quite a bit of work and attention.

When I combined my small extra income, along with all my new amazing ways to coupon and save, I ended up with more extra cash than I had imagined. It was this small step that gave me more time, to work on my long term goals and business plans.

Below are some websites that helped me legitimately make some extra cash on your schedule:

Drive with Lyft
Until I became successful with long term investments, Lyft stayed on my phone. It is a great backup way to make some cash, whenever you have the time. There is literally not a bad time to drive with Lyft, so it is always a time to make some money. Combine Lyft with some gas savings rewards programs (checkout our SAVE money section) and you can have a great money maker.

BestMark
This website is a mystery shopping website that has a lot of gigs on it. Although some require specific cars or things like that, you can definitely make some extra cash easily, especially if you are willing to travel. They do offer pay for your travels, although with this company you can only schedule one shop a day. Still a great way to get out and make some extra cash while you are at it.

Marketforce
Marketforce has two different companies you can work for, one is mystery shopping and one is theater tasks. Both can make you quite a bit of extra cash, especially if you can multitask a few shops in one day. I registered for both, although the theater can take more work than shopping. When working with the theaters, you will be helping put up new movie signs and promotional shops, although it takes more time than it does effort.

Intelli-shop
This is another great website to add to your mix. They also have a variety of mystery shops, some of them include test driving awesome cars or eating at local restaurants. Although they are thorough, this is only to make sure that there studies are done right. When combined with the other sites above, this can bring in a great amount of extra cash every week

Userfeel
This is the last, but definitely not the one that will make you the less! This website is great because you can do your entire job right from home. You simply play around on websites, and tell them what you think. This is great because, you get to browse the web and get paid. Also, you get the chance to voice your opinion and help improve others websites.

Although these take some time getting used to, mostly just getting into a schedule with all of them, they do pay off. Most of them pay you quickly, and unless you make a ton of cash you won't even be sent a tax form at the end of the year. Just remember that this money does not have taxes taken out of it, so a part of your money should be saved to cover taxes at the end of the year.

5 apps to make money off your phone

When it comes to working from home, it takes a lot of time and patience. Most work from home gigs take about 6 months to 1 year before you start to actually see a decent income. However, there are apps that you can download today and make some extra change off of.
Like every type of work from home gig, it does take some effort, and with these apps you will not instantly get rich or be able to quit your job. If you need some extra spending cash, these are a great way to do that!

If you get a few of them, and use them all, after about a month you will see that extra income build quickly. It takes some time to get used to checking on them, but with some practice you will get the hang of it. The key to making money on these apps is consistency.

I have tried, and deleted, many "make money from home" apps. Whether they were too much work, too much hassle, or not enough pay, I am not one to have my time wasted. The 5 apps listed below are the ones that made me some extra change easily.

1. Fiverr

I absolutely love this gig site! Not only can you post all of your available gigs and how much they cost, but you can also search through people who need different things done and message them to get an extra job. I find this a great way to advertise your business, especially if it has to do with writing, editing, or designing anything on the computer. From transcriptions to e-book covers, the possibilities to making some extra change are endless!

2. Shiftgig
Shiftgig is great because it is a great way to connect with local people who need work. Whether you have experience in restaurants, hotels, administrative positions or more, you will find it on shiftgig. List all of your experience and then simply wait until you get connected with local businesses who need your expertise.

3. Quick Thoughts
Quick Thoughts is an app that is easy to download through most phone app stores. It is full of great surveys that you can easily take on your phone. Then you get instantly paid after 2 weeks, which is great and a lot quicker than some other apps.

4. Checkout 51

This is by far one of the easiest ways to make extra cash. Simply download this app, and everytime you go shopping for groceries you upload your receipt. For certain products you get points back just for buying them! Then, all these amazing points turn into money back. How great is that to earn money as you spend it? 😉

5. Craigslist/Letgo/ resell apps

There are plenty of apps out there for you to sell your old junk. Honestly, if this is your niche, I would suggest getting all of them. From then on, it becomes a waiting game. Always checking to see whats a good deal you could snatch. From there, you either sell it as is, or fix it up and sell it that way. Some times you can grab some things for free, in which you are truly winning because you get 100% profit. Always save money you have made to invest in more products, since you will have some down times where there is nothing to flip or sell online. One key to working for yourself is always staying prepared.
Search "Letgo" into your app store and it should pop up. If you go to related, you will see tons of other apps to download and flip some "nothings" into cold hard cash.

Tips For Getting Organized

When it comes to getting organized, it is quite simpler than you would imagine. With a few quick tips, the determination to do so, and just getting up and getting started, you will be organized in no time. Below are 4 quick tips that can help you get organized quickly.

1. Declutter your area: Whether you are mostly at your desk or in your living room, take some time to clean out all that clutter in your house. Have your area organized, and you can think and work a lot better.

2. Plan: When it comes to getting organized, taking the time to make a schedule works best. Have a schedule for house chores, kids activities, meals, business to do. Whatever you have to do, get it all on one schedule. Then daily, you have a reminder of exactly what you need to get done.

3. Get Ahead: Have days where you clean out this room, or update your files, so that when it comes to important times, like spring cleaning or tax season, you are already ahead of the game.

4. Meal Prep & Plan: Taking some time on the weekend, or whenever you are free, to prep meals for the next week will save your life. Not only will you save a lot of time thinking what to cook, but you will start to save money and time by planning and prepping meals ahead of time.

When it comes to planning, I always start with my monthly planner. I then take the time to fill in everything I need, and usually just grab a small sheet for exactly what I have to do daily.

Below is a list of some things to consider when planning your month:

  • Daily Task
  • Meal Plans & Prep time
  • Work/Business To Do
  • Children To Do (school and other activities)
  • Personal Time (date nights, spa day for yourself at the house, podcast hour, etc.)
  • Errands/appointments
  • Bills/ Expenses for the month
  • Goals & To Do's for them
  • Workouts
  • House Chores/Cleaning

4 Basics of Couponing

I am no expert in couponing, although I have followed and studied it for some time. It is not difficult, it is just simply something I do not spend time investing in. However, I do coupon simply. As in, I do not walk out of a store with $40.00 worth of products for $3.00, but I do buy $40.00 worth of things I need at that time for $30.00 or below.

Now, mind you. I do not clip coupons. I do not print them offline. I do not get newspapers. I simply do this by going to certain stores, and combining e-coupons (where you type in your phone number) with sales. Or, I go to Wal-Mart and use a few coupons I might have gotten mailed to me, or taken from a friend/families newspaper.

However, this is because I am not trying to save a bunch, just a little when I do have to spend. So, if you want to save a lot, it is easily possible. If you have the determination, you can easily be catching deals like other extreme couponers within the first month.

Below are 4 easy tips that when combined, will make you an extreme couponer in no time.

1. Collect, Collect, and Collect:
Coupons online, weekly newspapers, and signing up on the products websites are all good ways to get coupons. Over time, you will build up your coupons, which are good to save for when the product itself is on sale (explained later on).

2. Sign up for ALL rewards programs:
Most stores that you shop at have some type or rewards set up. Walmart has an app where you scan the barcode on the bottom of your receipt, and get money back on products that are cheaper at competing stores. Dollar General, Family Dollar, CVS, Rite Aid, and more all have programs and apps for your phone that you can join and either get extra coupons, digital coupons, or special points back that will add up over time. Sign up for all of them, or simply the ones you shop at most often.

3. Look at weekly sales:
Every week, make sure to take a glance at what is on sale. There are apps such as Flipp, or simply the apps for every store that you shop at that will show you what is on sale. Plus, you get sales ads in the mail and newspapers weekly. Either way, by seeing what is on sale every week is how you will learn to use your coupons wisely.

4. Combine:
The key to really winning at couponing, is combining your coupons with sales. If you find a coupon for .25 off some Dove dish detergent, but it is .99 regularly, you don't save much. However, if it is on sale for .50, then you are getting each bottle for .25, or half off. There are many websites and social groups to keep up with couponing deals as well, and you can use them to help you know exactly where to go and what to get.

5 Couponing Tips They Forget To Tell You

A lot of times, you can walk into a store with a hand full of coupons, and when you walk out it seems that you spent more than you had wanted, just because you wanted to use up all your coupons. However, when it comes to couponing, here is what you should always remember:

1. Make a list before you leave
In order to make things easier on you, and the check out people, always be prepared. When you walk into the store, you should already have a list of exactly what to buy, and what coupon to use. This ensures that you have found the best deals before hand, so you are not stuck in the store price checking items all day.

2. Compare store prices before hand
Sometimes a sale at this store, is still more expensive then at a normal store you buy items at. Basically, although a store says sale, it might not be a sale to your wallet. Look at all stores before hand, and compare prices on items that you are wanting to buy. This way, you can find the best deals, and know exactly what is cheapest.

3. Check all stores for apps
Electronics can often make things more difficult, but when it comes to couponing, it makes things a lot easier. A ton of stores have app's right for your phone were you can add coupons to your phone number and even view weekly ads. This way, when you go to checkout, all you have to do is type in your phone number and your coupons will add with your items and easily save you money. Some people even find ways to combine certain coupons with there phone coupons, but that is another article all together.

4. Decode the small print
Always read the small print on your coupons. Sometimes you can use 4 or 5 coupons in one transaction, or you may have other items you can buy with the coupon that are not pictured. Just because there is one cereal on the coupon picture, it might work for any size or flavor as long as it is that brand. So read carefully.

5. Join Facebook groups and local communities
There are tons of groups and blogs out there that can help you combine your coupons and snag the best deals. Sometimes, simply joining and following them can make things easier and do a lot of the work for you. Although you might find a deal they miss, if you join quite a few they will find almost any good deal out there. Don't be afraid to ask questions, as they usually never mind explaining lingo or other things that you don't understand.
