30 Day Calendar of Social Media Post Ideas

When it comes to posting on social media, no one wants their timelines flooded with products that people are trying to sell to them. In this day and age, most successful people who sell on social media do so because they establish a brand of their own. What you do for your brand is totally up to you, and something you should consider before establishing yourself online. However, when posting online, it takes some time to figure it all out.

If you have no idea on what to post, below is a full list of ideas for daily post. Some things to always remember about your post:

~Keep it Relevant
If you have to post a quote, a cool tip, etc.; do not make it a post about your own life or personal drama. Make sure everything you post has to do with your brand, and the type of product you sell
~Hashtags
Find relevant hashtags for your post. No body wants to see a million hashtags on your post, so make sure the ones you use are the right ones for the message you are trying to say. If you do not know which one to use, spend some time just searching hashtags on different medias. That will give you ideas on other hashtags that would be great for promoting your brand.
~Think Ahead
Do not post last second, simply because you know you should. Take time to think out your post, and what all you are really trying to say. Staying ahead on your post for social media will show a more organized business.
~Keep it Short
Most people scroll through social media when bored, so you must draw there attention quickly. Most post should be short, organized, and straight to the point.

7 Tips For Promoting Your Business Online

When it comes to the internet, more and more people want to buy things online. Although big retailers and websites do draw in a big part of the sales, a lot of people want something more personal and different. Unique is always better, but that is for another blog all together. You can build up a presence online, but it takes time and strategy.

Here are some things to remember when you are trying to promote a business online:

1. All Social Media

The first step you have to do is establish your business presence online. Over time, you will find that certain social media sites will work better for you then others, but sometimes it is all about how you post. You must remember that each social site has a certain way, and time, to post that will help spread the word about your profile, and get you more love. Before you make sales, you must establish a following that loves you. This means posting tips, tricks, questionnaires, and a variety of post that will draw attention to your page.

Social Media to Join:
~Facebook
(Create a business page, not a profile)
~Instagram
(All about the picture, keep captions small)
~Twitter
(Post unique, keep hashtags relevant)
~Google+
(You can make a business profile)
~Blog
(WordPress & Blogger are two great platforms)
~Reddit
(Great way to promote your business)
~Pinterest
(Blog links that lead to your webpage are great to post here)
~Snapchat
(Great for certain businesses)

2. Join Local Communities

On all media, it is important to find people that are in the same business as you. You must also take time to find genuine people who are interested in your business. If you get into groups (especially on Facebook) with a topic that is related to your business, you can find people with the same interest as you, make an associate, and maybe one day make a sale. (If you sell fitness accessories, join health groups). Interact with other post that have similar hashtags or topics, with comments or likes on there post. Just get involved, to draw more interest to who you are.

3. Post with Intent

If you post funny memes, you will get followers, but not sales. You must make sure everything you post has to do with your business. However, simply posting your product will make your followers bored. Make sure you post daily, and always check for ways to interact with new people (comments, messages).

Different Post Ideas:
~Mention @follower
(show love to your followers)
~A Day in the Life Post
(show them a secret glimpse into your business)
~Share a Long Story
(most post should stay short, but take 1 time to really explain your passion)
~Share a tip
(something relatable to your business)
~Inspirational Post
(quote, picture, something positive)
~Your workplace
(make it look good, show them where it all begins)

4. Freebies/Deals

Sometimes it is not possible, but if you can find a way to put your product on sale on a website (Groupon, Living Social, etc.) or even give out freebies to your followers on social media (just for shipping, and a post to review the product) that is a great way to spread the word about your product.

5. Video Time

Videos are great for this fast paced word, so many people skim there phones for pictures, videos, and won't read until they are truly interested. For this, a video is a great way to explain what you have. Making videos in youtube, or just ones to post on social media, are a great way to get people interested in what you have to sell.

6. Don't Push

Nobody wants to be sold a product these days. People are all about personal connection. If they enjoy what you post, and then see something you happen to sell, they are more likely to buy. No need to post your product every day, that is less interesting.

7. Establish Your Business

Google places, Yahoo local, and other local search engines are a must for your business. It is simple to get your business located on there search, so that people in your city can easily search and find you online. Once someone can find you on google, and other search engines, your business will really start to boom.
